by clearly articulating their competencies, knowledge and
experience professionally, confidently and
congruently.
Are you
as effective in person as you are on paper? Your
resume may have been compelling enough to get
you an interview, but your
interview performance will determine whether you get
the job.
Push the Right
Buttons
- Understand contemporary interview strategies and what
they are designed to uncover
- Gain an insight into what employers are looking
for when they ask specific questions
- Practise responding to questions that you are
likely to be asked for your specific role
- Structure your answers to demonstrate your capability
and suitability
- Reframe perceived weaknesses that you feel
awkward addressing
- Communicate congruently so that what you say
matches how you say it
- Build
rapport and connect with your
interviewers
Employers want to feel confident that they are
making the right hiring decision as the wrong choice can
cost them dearly. Job interviews are designed to
delve more into your experience and capabilities to discover if
you are a good fit to the role and the organisation's
values, culture and people.
Behavioural interviews are increasingly used in today's
hiring process. As behavioural interviews are
based on the notion that your past
performance is indicative of your future performance,
it is essential that you provide specific examples from
your previous work related experience.
If you're unprepared for an interview, you may laugh
nervously, provide irrelevant answers and ramble on
without a focus. Instead of using the opportunity
to communicate how you could add value to your
employers, you could talk them out of giving you a
job.
In coaching you, we'll help you to avoid common mistakes
made in interviews and give you a strong foundation to succeed
at interviews.
